Refund & Cancellation Policy
Refund, cancellation and replacement terms for Bhalai Foundation donations, merchandise, sponsorships and orders.

1. Donations
If you made a donation by mistake, entered the wrong amount, or made a duplicate payment, contact us within 48 hours of payment with your payment details, donor name, email, transaction ID and reason. Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method; bank and gateway timelines apply. Refunds may not be possible if the donation has already been receipted, allocated, used, reported, or if legal/accounting rules restrict reversal — each request is reviewed case by case.
2. Program sponsorships
If a sponsored activity is delayed or rescheduled we may offer a revised date, a transfer to a similar program, credit for a future campaign, or a refund where appropriate and feasible. Sponsorship refunds are not automatic and depend on whether costs have already been committed, paid to partners, spent on materials or allocated to field activity.
3. Merchandise orders
You may request a return, replacement or refund within 7 days from delivery if the item is damaged, wrong, has a manufacturing defect, or the size delivered differs from the size ordered. Email your order number, photos of the item and packaging, and a short description of the issue.
4. Size exchanges
Size exchanges may be offered for eligible apparel if the item is unused, tags and packaging are intact, the request is made within 7 days of delivery, and the requested size is in stock. Exchange shipping may be charged to the buyer unless the error was on Bhalai's side.
5. Non-returnable items
Unless damaged or incorrectly delivered: custom printed items, campaign-specific merchandise, used apparel, digital badges, digital sponsorship products, donation-only products and items marked final sale.
6. Order cancellation
You may cancel before the order is packed or shipped. Once packed, shipped or fulfilled, cancellation may not be possible. If a product is out of stock after payment, we may offer a replacement, delayed dispatch, credit or refund.
7. Refund method and approval
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method where possible. Refund requests are approved by the authorised admin (currently aditya@bhalai.org).
